Shadow of Darkness

Falling endlessly
through sudden darkness.
Light was perished
before my eyes.
Life and meaning are forgotten
in this lightless tide.
Love was vanquished,
but not the memory.
Hope was destroyed,
and with it,
the light of the heart
was thrown into the shadows.
