Terrorism. Poem written 2001.
Some future day,
when from Heaven we look
down upon New York,
we may see a mausoleum...
a great wonder of the world!
All America's architects,
surveyors and designers
will join as one until the
work is done - on the
greatet wonder of the world.
It must be glorious, like none other
with names in gold of all who died,
and intertwined between the pillars
shrubs and flowers ~ maintained
with pride. Travellers all around the
globe, will come from far to bow
their heads... Is this a dream
that could come true?
America will see it through.

Work-a-Day World
Forty words:
A hard life it seems,
far from our dreams...
no time for fun
or to sit in the sun
idling the hours away.
For bread we have none
until toil is done
and we take home
our pittance of pay.

Words That Rhyme
Rationalization and
Nationalization
are words which may open
security's door - for awhile.
But Immigration's Naturalization,
are words which may cause the
population figure to rise as
never before.

Words On My Mind Forever
O to be in England
When I was young and twenty.
Sitting happily in my chair
I now recall so very well
All the words that cast a spell:
February - forty-six, a fact
Bank of England Act...
July the fifth, forty-eight
~~The Appointed Day~~
When our Nation's Health
Service came to stay.
In the next decade came
The Clean Air Act...what
A great impact this had
On our lives and our
Environment
O to be in England
When I was young and thirty.

Words Of An Innocent Man
At last I am walking
In faraway places
Longing to greet
Green open spaces.
Prison...goodbye
Prison...oh why
Did you deny me
Feminine graces?
'An innocent man'
At last I am talking
To friends and relations
True hearts believing
My honest intentions.
Prison...goodbye
I forgive you that's why
I now walk in heaven's
Wide floral spaces
'An innocent man'.

Words From The Heart
Forty words:
Your writing is the neatest
your poems are the sweetest
those stanzas are the fairest
and... they are the rarest,
the meaning so inviting
the wording so exciting.
Your sentiments are a token of
our true love ~ as yet unspoken.

Words Flow From His Heart
Style of Thomas Hardy -
He to She:
May to October,
how the months hurry by...
it's the sad day tomorrow
when we say goodbye.
Sweet moments were magical
with you and your charms.
My stay has been wonderful
alone in your arms.
A holiday to remember
near sea and sand.
But at dawn's early light
I must go - can't you see?
To Canberra's fair city
away I must flee; where
the bronze Ethos statue
points up to the skies...
I will write to you darling,
have no tears in your eyes.
I'll return in December
kissing your hand.
Please take this Rosary,
it comes from my heart.
Sometime very soon,
prayer will play a part.
The beads which are sacred
count the hours as they go
and from now till December
you will haunt my dreams so,
because you are my only one
I thought you should know.

Wonders Never Cease
God is older than the land
Older than the sea and sand
Older than the moon and stars
And older than the planet Mars.
God was the first; He was there
Creator of all things everywhere,
Light was morning, dark was evening
His word determined every season.
God is older than the Lamb
Older than birds, older than man.
And ours is not to reason why
God reigns in glory beyond the sky.

Wonderful You
Beautiful love was ours for a lifetime
You held me in your arms and we danced.
I took one glance into your eyes
and my heart found a chapel of paradise
on a winding road for two...
'myself and wonderful you'.

Wonderful Paintings
Breathe a sigh, the scene is antique
Don't rush on by a scene so unique
Beautiful pictures abound.
Just look at the wonders I've found.
A glittering Admiral butterfly...
Must have been painted in heaven on high.
And look! The return of a crimson rose
Only weeks ago, in the Fall, she died.
And oh the ivy, golden and green,
Who designed such a glowing scene
Shining like the crown of a queen?
Ah! The Universe - colourful! glorious!
The Artist is adored by all of us.
God is the artist of all we survey
And how great His Original
'The Sunrise at Dawning of Day'.

Wonderful Dream
Take me in your arms dear and look into my eyes,
Tell me that you care...bring me your paradise.
Dance with me my love, until the morning light
For you and you alone, make this sad world seem right.
But our love is only a dream on a beautiful moonlit night
Never to become reality; a fantasy of love's delight.
So let the music play and think of me night and day
I'll hold you in my heart where you will always stay.
